We can sleep up to 8* and we are Super Dog Friendly (other pets may be possible, let's discuss)! We have a luxury spa on a forest facing deck, a beautiful retro-inspired Vermont Castings gas fireplace, A/C (seasonally), and stunning state of the art remote-controlled ceiling fans throughout the home for great climate control in Sonoma's beautifully moderate climate.
The Lookout boasts three amazing decks, all with spectacular views. It is only a short walk from a neighborhood-only beach that a is perfect spot to launch our rentable kayaks and get even closer to nature! It is also only a brief walk to the Del Rio Woods Public Beach that boasts picnic tables, facilities, and a pay-to-park lot. Fitch Mountain Lookout is truly a nature oasis in the heart of wine country. A Deeper Dive
Fitch Mountain Lookout (FML) is perched on the south (sunny!) side of Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg. Its stunning views of the forested river valley below often showcase Osprey & Egrets flying along the water's edge, while Otters and Herons hang around the banks. Deer and their fawn (Quails and their little chicks) trot by the bedroom windows daily, and the provided Hummingbird Happy Hour kit entices our furious fliers to provide daily entertainment on all the decks while Chickadees, Titmice, Stellar & Scrub Jays, Grosbeaks, Pine Siskins, Gold Finches, and even Orioles hop in for wild seed, a sip of nectar, or bird bath. It is a fantastic 2000 square foot multi-level 3 bedroom, 2 full bathroom reverse-flow floor plan home. The main level of the home showcases an amazing 12ft picture window with a large open flow family room to living room concept. This area features a picturesque retro Vermont Castings fireplace, ample cozy seating, & is perfect for sipping wine, playing board games, or catching up on your favorite show.
Yes, FML is nestled in the woods, on a little mountain, & feels delectably removed from the busy world, but tech lovers' have nothing to fear! The family room is equipped with a 58' flat-screen smart TV to make using your streaming services and apps easy! No Roku or Amazon stick needed! And you can cast from your cell phones & laptops. Additionally, we offer 140+ cable channels through our Xfinity Streaming App Cable, and bluetooth surround sound bar & speakers for an enhanced tv sound experience--which can also be used to stream your favorite playlists. The entire house boasts up to 800mbps Wifi for over 11 devices, so any 'unplugging' or 'disconnecting' you do, will be completely at your discretion!
The formal dining room seats 8 with stellar forest views, connected to a well-equipped kitchen with spacious counters (& 2 barstool seats) that make it great for cooking. It also has a Caffeine Corner full of extras, like a one-button Breville cappuccino milk frother, that will delight the coffee & tea lover in your group. The kitchen ends with french doors that flow out to the massive BBQ deck that also has dining for 8 under adorable bistro lights. Break off from the group & take the back stairs down to the Coffee & Cuddles Deck (with Moonrise Meadow views) for a more intimate chat or play some jumbo Connect 4! Relax your muscles & mind in the luxury spa, complete with waterfall & led light features (or my favorite, leave it dark & simply enjoy the star-infused sky) on the forest facing deck.
All of the bedrooms have spectacular views over the Russian River Valley. Truly, there are no bad views! Each room has modern bluetooth speaker alarm clocks, luxury linens (genuine 600-thread count organic cotton) paired with down-alternative duvets, featuring such cuddly-worthy duvet covers, they might tempt you to stay snuggled past your alarm. The Van Gogh (Spa Level with forested valley views) & Duncanson (Penthouse Level with river views) bedrooms are generously sized, both with chat corners, & still roomy enough to set up our Graco Pack'n'Play to keep any little ones within earshot & eyesight (the home is not child-proof, children should be closely monitored at ALL times).
With multiple outdoor decks for humans & fur-babies alike to enjoy festive BBQ feasts grilled to perfection on our pristine Weber Genesis II, amazing wildlife visitors, refreshing forest ambiance, star-riddled nights, foggy morning views, and the luxury 37 jet hot tub, we think we might just redefine what "FML" means to you!
Healdsburg is just an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge and is the center of Sonoma County wine country.
Healdsburg has a fantastic plaza lined with cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries, and tasting rooms. Locals love strolling through Plaza park, stopping to eat their ice creams on the benches, or picnicking on the many lawns. Whenever there is a town activity at the gazebo, you will swear that you were just transported to Stars Hollow from "Gilmore Girls."
Healdsburg is surrounded by the Russian River Valley, the Dry Creek Valley, and the Alexander Valley appellations.
Healdsburg is only 45 minutes from our stunning California Coastline (in famous Bodega) and it is filled with amazing options for hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, antiquing, golfing, or exploring.
