When you reach that half century mark you want to be sure that the setting in which you celebrate is more than perfect. Any other level of quality is unacceptable, as the likelihood of doing it again in another 50 years is pretty small. Well, thank goodness for Fitch Mountain Lookout with their owners Jennifer and Stephen. First, the house is perfectly set out to both relax and entertain. The multiple levels give it a sense of privacy while the large main level is excellent for gathering people together. The front deck works well to relax, and the lower deck offers both great views and a soothing hot tub. And for those who can’t leave civilization, there is high-speed Internet access. We also used the DVD, CD, VHS and MP3 player the entire time we were there. We brought all of our favorite tunes on some CDs we burned specifically for the trip. We have visited the Healdsburg area many times but never rented a home before. This house makes me wonder why I would ever stay in a hotel again. We had a wonderful time, and hated leaving the area. The house was everything we could have asked for. It met our needs in every way, and the view was spectacular. There is nothing more you could do to make our stay more enjoyable. The house was very well equipped in all rooms and very clean. We took full advantage of the kitchen, cooking some elaborate meals, and there was not a single utensil that was lacking. We are already looking forward to our next trip to wine country, and will definitely look to see if Fitch Mountain Lookout is available. We are going to try and make this a bi-annual trip.
